WILKES' SPIRIT OF THE TIMES, New York, July 13, 1861  Within the issue is two pages of boxing news "The Championship - Fight between Jem Mace, of Norwich, and Sam Hurst, of Staleybridge for 400 (Pounds) and the Champion's Belt"; "Gallant Fight Between Hardy Burgess and Jen Clarke (of Liverpool) for 100 (Pounds) a Side"; and "Great Fight for the championship - Set-to Between Jem Mace and the Staleybridge Infant".

This is complete in 16 pages with an archival mend being made to the front page, some light foxing, otherwise in good condition.
