As noted in the masthead this was the: "Gazette of The Regular & Volunteer Forces" and as such is replete with military news of all sorts. Most of the front page is taken up with: "The Reduction of the Army" from after the Civil War. Other items on inside pages include: "Enemy's Goods Found Floating at Sea" "Reorganization of the Medical Staff" "The Standing Army" "The New Army" "Army & Navy Personal" "Various Naval Matters" and more.
Complete in sixteen pages, 10 by 14 1/2 inches, nice eagle in the masthead, and in very nice condition.
