At the top of page 2 is a report: "The Very Latest Telegraph" "New Orleans Taken!" "Great Destruction Of Property, Cotton, Steamboats, etc." "All Was Consternation and Excitement" with the text providing the details. This is an early report, as most newspapers gave this report on April 29 or 30.

Also on page 2: "Skirmishing Near Corinth, Tennessee" "Supposed Evacuation of Corinth" "Death of Maj. Gen. C. F. Smith" & other Civil War reporting.

Four pages, folio size, small hole to a lower corner of the back leaf affecting ads only, nice condition.
