LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, from New York, dated January 6, 1872 Taking half of the tipped-in doublepage centerfold is a scene: "The Yellowstone Region--The Great American Geysers Of The Fire-Hole Basin."  The centerfold has an archival mend to a tear in the unrelated print below the Yellowstone scene. The front cover features a large illustration "Life Sketches in the Metropolis - the First Skate of the Season"; a fullpage political satire "A Pleasant Neighbor" and another fullpage illustration "Life Sketches in the Metropolis - Saturday Evening Among the Germans at One of Their Favorite Places of Resort in the Bowery". This is complete in 16 pages, has a few other archival mends in unrelated content, some scattered foxing, otherwise is in good condition.
