Navy Rose Bowl in 1924...

Item # 563408 ·
THE DETROIT FREE PRESS, Michigan, January 2, 1924

* Rose Bowl: Navy Midshipmen vs. Washington Huskies

This 22 page newspaper has a 6 column headline on page 16: "Annual East-West Football Battle Ends In 14-14 Tie" with subheads that include: "Navy Fails To Hold Lead Over Huskies" and more.

Other news of the day. Usual browning with margin wear on the 1st leaf mostly, causing some unrelated text loss. Should be handled with care.

wikipedia notes: The 1924 Rose Bowl was an American college football game played on January 1, 1924 in Pasadena, California. The United States Naval Academy faced the University of Washington.
