HOUGH'S CONCORD HERALD, New Hampshire, April 3, 1793  Over half of pg. 2 is taken up with the: "Conclusion of the Trial and Condemnation of Louis XVI." which has much detail on the trial, including the call for the votes of guilty or not guilty by the various men (see), with their responses.
Page 3 has the: "Sentence Pronounced Against Louis XVI" which includes: "...The National Convention after sitting nearly 34 hours has just voted, that the punishment of Death shall be inflicted on his most Christian Majesty..." with much more (see), and this is followed by a report headed: "Execution of Louis XVI" which includes in part: "...he supported himself with great courage on the occasion, mounted the scaffold with great deliberation...made a bow to all around him and laid his head upon the block and it was immediately severed from his body. A hole was dug in the temple court, near the scaffold, where the head and trunk were thrown, then filled up with earth and paved..." with more (see).
An extremely historic issue with much detail. Complete in 4 pages, excellent condition.
