This 8 page newspaper has a small but significant headline at the bottom of the front page: "P.T. BARNUM HAS RETIRED" which say he has retired from the circus business. This is a brief but first report on this famous circus king. As a collectible, 1st reports are always more desirable.  A great item for serious Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus collectors.

Other news of the day throughout. Usual browning and somewhat pulpish with little margin wear, otherwise good.
