From the whaling town of Sag Harbor, Long Island...

Item # 204612 ·

THE CORRECTOR, Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York, April 19, 1879 A very uncommon title from this once-famous whaling town near the eastern end of Long Island, now more famous as a playground for the rich & famous who frequent the neighboring Hamptons. Page 2 has a variety of news tidbits under the heading "Long Island Items" and other tidbits found elsewhere as well including: "Ship carpenters have been repairing the old schooner Emerald along side of Long Wharf." A rather large illustrated ad for "Baldwin The Clothier" store on Fulton Street, Brooklyn. Several other illustrated ads as well. Complete in 4 pages, never bound nor trimmed, generally in great condition.  Additional issues of this title and from this era are available upon request.
