HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York City, August 23, 1913  This issue has a color cover sheet over it. "This is the Second Number Edited by Norman Hapgood."
In this issue there is an illustration called "Ebb-Tide" by Stuart Davis and there is an article with a photo called "Mr. Lane and the Public Domain" by Honore Willsie. Also in this issue is a full page illustration called "The Dance in the Madhouse" by George Bellows plus there are several articles which include "Current Athletics" by Herbert Reed and "Pitchers Who Bat" by Eric Harold Palmer, which also includes a photo of Walter Johnson. There is another full page illustration called "Miss Hallroom probably feels that she makes a pretty picture seated at her window, but over the way they think the two flat-irons he has left on the window-sill spoil the effect" by John Sloan plus there is an article called "Tammany and Harper's Weekly" which includes engravings from past Harper's Weeklys. There is yet another illustration called "'The Ritz'" which was by Wallace Morgan plus much more.
Other advertisements of the day are included as well, helping to portray life at the turn of the century. This issue is in very good condition.
