HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, October 28, 1899  The front page has a battle scene: "The War in S. Africa--British Troops Rebelling a Boer Attack". There is a full page with 2 illustrations of "The Return of the Kansas Volunteers Under General Funston" and a full page with one photo and one illustration of "The Inauguration of President Hadley at Yale University."
There is a full page of photos of "Admiral Dewey and His Alma Mater--He Visits His Native State, and Lays the Corner-Stone of Dewey Hall, Norwich University". The double page centerfold is of "The Philippines--An Igorrote Village in the Mountains Back of Manila".
There is another full page of photos on the America's Cup, and another 1/2-page: "The Advance Of Civilization In New Mexico -- The Merry-Go-Round Comes To Taos."
Other news and advertisements of the day are included. This issue is complete in 24 pages and is in good condition.
