HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, January 30, 1897  The front page has an illustration by W. A. Rogers titled: "The Treaty for Peace". There are two pgs. with 5 photos and an article of: "The Lick Observatory". There is also a full page with 4 photos of "Jessop and Stanford's Romantic Irish Opera 'Shamus O'Brien,' as Performed at the Broadway Theatre." The double page centerfold has two full page illustrations. The first is titled: "Naval Actions of the War of 1812--'The Chase of the 'President'" and the second is by F. Remington and titled: "Winter Pastimes at an Army Post in the Southwest--A Run with the Hounds". Also, there is a fullpg. with 4 photos of "The Cuban Insurrection".
Other news and advertisements of the day are included. This issue is complete in 24 pages.
