HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 3, 1890  The standard portion of this issue (the first 8 images) has some nice prints which include a full ftpg: "Working A Hotchkiss Gun", a nice full page: "Tarpon Fishing", another fullpg. view of: "La Salle Street, Chicago..." "Clinton Hall, Astor Place, New York. The doublepage centerfold is: "Antony Van Corlear, the Trumpeter". Complete in 16 pages.

The sought-after Supplement (the last four images), which is not included at this price, contains key baseball prints and is described as:

The four page supplement is entirely taken up with: "Opening Of The Base-Ball Season of 1890 - The Leading Players and Their Positions." Included are 29 illustrations of the better baseball players of the era, including A.C. Anson, John M. Ward, William Ewing, Timothy J. Keefe, John G. Reilly, Charles Zimmer, John Glasscock, Edward Hanlon, Joseph Muley, Thomas Burns, W. A. Latham, C. A. Comiskey among others. Also included is a nice action print captioned: "A Dive for Second Base". All of the text in this supplement is on the baseball season and includes team rosters of 16 teams. An issue, if available, which includes the supplement is priced at $100 more than the standard issue price. Be in touch if desired and we will double-check our inventory to see if one is present.
