HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, October 28, 1882  The full front page is a Thomas Nast political cartoon: "Deep Diplomacy", themed on Tammany Hall.
Other prints within include a halfpg: "The Bicentenary of Philadelphia: Old Stairs in Water Street"; "The Bicentenary of Phila." which shows: "The London Coffee House Today" & "Old Almshouse, Where Evangeline Found Gabriel".
There is a nice doublepage centerfold: "The Transportation of Dressed Beef from the West--Chicago Cattle Yards and Slaughter Houses" which includes 9 prints with a meatpacking theme. Also a halfpg: "The New Waterworks at Detroit, Michigan"; a full page by Nast: "Tis True, 'Tis Pity; and Pity 'Tis, 'Tis True." A small back page print is also by Thomas Nast: "Bones By Another Name Will Smell as Sweet."
