HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, July 23, 1881  This "regular" edition of Harper's on the death of President James Garfield, and is entirely different from the "Special" edition of the same date as found as item 576833 on our website.        
The full front page is entitled 'The archery tournament, Prospect Park, Brooklyn'. The doublepage centerfold is 'The President's Room' which shows Garfield lying in bed. A 3/4 page Thomas Nast political illustration "How to Get a Rest This Summer" and a cartoon on the back page.
The issue is complete in 16 pages, in good condition, and contains additional prints and related text. See photos for details.
