Famous Nast centerfold... Baseball in 'Blackville'...

HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, July 27, 1878  The full front page is a Thomas Nast print: "It is Ever Thus with Arbitrators." Inside has a full page of: "Baseball at Blackville-The "White Stockings" Against the "Black Legs"-first Blood for the "BlackLegs." (Negros playing baseball).
The doublepage centerfold by Nast is captioned: "Hail, C-O-L-U-M-B-I-A!-The British Lion Tamed Again."
Also, a half page print: "The Catamaran"; half page print: "Circular Yacht in Prospect Park, Brooklyn"; two-thirds page print: "Congress at Berlin-Anteroom in the Radziwill Palace" The Supplement has a two-thirds page print: "A Drink by the Way" and a double page print: "Louis Ban Der Male, Earl of Flanders, Hiding From the Soldiers of Philip Van Arteveld."
Complete in 16 pages, good condition.
