HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, July 16, 1870  The front page features a nearly full page illustration 'Peanut Sellers in Savannah' shows a black woman under an umbrella. Within the issue is a quarterpage "A. T. Akerman, Attorney-General of the United States" and a halfpage "Free Swimming Baths, Foot of Fifth Street, East River". Full page illustrations include 'Settlers Attacked by Indians' shows them in a defensive position on their house; "The British Cabinet in Session" and "A Students' Club-Room at Heidelberg". Half-page illustrations "Mr. Dickens's House at Gadshill" and "Constantinople Firemen". The back page contains a Thomas Nast political cartoon.
