HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, April 30, 1864  The front page shows a group of officers making a toast, along with a poem concerning the third anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War. Prints within include: "In The Fair" "Admiral Porter's Flotilla" "the Steam Ram 'Switzerland". Some articles include: "Sketches of the Red River Expedition" "The Massacre at Fort Pillow" "The War In Georgia" "The Spirit of the Campaign" "The Waste of War" "the Military Situation" and more.
Other prints include: "Map of Fort DeRussy", a full page: "The Massacre at Fort Pillow" is a very dramatic print & shows negro soldiers; half page prints; "Ringgold, Georgia" and "The Advance Signal Station Near Ringgold, Georgia".
The doublepage centerfold by the famed Thomas Nast is: "The Press In The field" and has  7 vignettes of how  the newspapers gather and produce the news during the Civil War. Very displayable.
