Inside are 16 small illustrations pertaining to "More About the Gold Discoveries of the Isthmus." (Indians, Mexico). Two full page illustrations entitled "Saratoga in 1777-The Cellar of the Riedesel House" and "Saratoga in 1859 - A Ball at Congress Hall." A 1/4 page illustration of "Governor Wise, of Virginia" also has an accompanying article.
