Above it are 6 smaller illustrations of the vicinity including: "A Mormon Harem" "Tithing Office, Salt Lake City" "Devil's Gate" and "Parley's Canyon".
The front page shows: 'Hon. Jacob Collamer, United States Senator from Vermont'. Prints inside include: "Travel Notes in Bible Lands" which has an illustration of "Laodicea"; "St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church, Fourth Avenue, New York" which accompanies an article on "Rev. John M'Clintock, D.D." with a print of him as well. An article: "The 'Susquehanna' and Her Last Cruise" also features a full page illustration of: "The United States Steam Frigate 'Susquehanna'".
