The front and back pages open up to show a huge & very detailed map of Berlin. Other photos within concerning the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Item #583400BILD, Berlin, Germany, Oct. 9, 1992 The front page is dominated by a very large photo of Willy Brandt with the heading at the top announcing: "Willy Brandt Is Dead". Brandt was a noted political figure in Germany, serving as mayor of West Berlin from 1957-1966, then as Chancellor of West Germany from 1969 thru 1974. He was mayor Berlin when the Berlin Wall was constructed, but he would live to see its demise.
Complete in 16 pages, great condition. -

Item #583395BILD, Berlin Germany, Dec. 23, 1989 This being the first Christmas in unified Germany in nearly 30 years, the headline proclaims: "Merry Christmas, Germany" with a color photo of a crowd at the Brandenburg Gate. Related photos on pages 2 & 3 include people climbing atop the Berlin Wall (see). Great to have this report in a Berlin newspaper.
Complete in 12 pages, excellent condition.
