HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Dec. 6, 1873
* Famous Winslow Homer print
Inside this issue is a fine full page illustration by Winslow Homer entitled: "The Last Days Of Harvest". A scene for the season, the illustration shows two boys shucking ears of corn among a field of upright bales of gathered cornstalks, with two men using pitchforks to load pumpkins on a wagon in the background.
Other illustrations include one that takes 3/4 of a page: "Preparing For Thanksgiving--Flanking The Victim." with a related article: "Thanksgiving-Day".
The double page centerfold includes a nice, half-page view of Havana as seen from the lower batteries of Fortress Cabana. Another page has a nice 5 by 9 inch map of Cuba and the adjacent islands.
Sixteen pages, nice condition.
