Over half of the front pages is taken up with two Acts of Congress, each one signed in block type by the President, Vice President, & Secretary of State: Go. Washington, John Adams, and Th. Jefferson.
Page 3 begins with: "Interesting Intelligence" on the beheading of Louis XVI, the type larger than typical to highlight its significance. It reads in part: "...now in our power to confirm the disagreeable tidings...to the publick, of the decolation [beheading] of LOUIS XVI, late King of the French...the Captain of which assured him that the King was beheaded."
