The first column of page 2 has an intriguingly brief report of an event which would have justified a much lengthier article. Under "News of the Day" is the brief note: "Little 'Tad' Lincoln, the youngest son of President Lincoln, dies in Chicago on Friday." Nothing more. Perhaps the Southern sympathies had yet to soften?
Four pages, light toning along central fold, a little irregular along the spine, nice condition.
