CHICAGO TRIBUNE, a six issue set covering the historic Howard Hughes around the world trip, dates of July 10 thru 15, 1938.

Each issue is complete and has a nice banner headline on the trip save for the July 10 issue which has a brief ftpg. announcement headed: "Hughes And Four Aids Ready To Start 3,641 Mile Flight To Paris".

They returned after circling the globe covering 14,672 miles in record-setting time: three days, nineteen hours, fourteen minutes and ten seconds. They were treated to a special mayoral reception and ticker-tape parade in New York City.
Well over 100 pages in total, all still bound together, small binding holes at the blank spine. This is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. Excellent condition.
