NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, May 3, 1865
* Assassin John Wilkes Booth
* re. Found at Garrett's Farm & shot dead
* re. Abraham Lincoln's assassination
The top of the first column has: "THE ASSASSINATION" "THE CAPTURE OF BOOTH" "Statement Of Lieut. Doherty" who was involved in the capture of John Wilkes Booth a few days prior. This is a nice, detailed, and very lengthy account, taking over 1 1/2 columns (see for portions).
Also on the ftpg. are: "Another Rebel Plot" "600 Conspirators Plan the Destruction of Northern Cities" "Philadelphia the First to be Visited" "The Affair Being Investigated" and other items as well.
All columns on all 8 pages are black-bordered for the death of Abraham Lincoln. Very nice condition.
