Page 6 has a very notable item being a report of the first African-American woman judge in the United States. 
The article features a photo of Jane Bolin being sworn into office, headed: "N.Y. Negro Woman Judge Won Honors at Wellesley" followed by a caption and an article on her.
Jane Bolin was the first black woman to graduate from Yale Law School, the first to join the New York City Bar Association and the first to join the New York City Law Department. She became the first black woman to serve as a judge in the United States when she was sworn into this office on July 22.
Complete in 20 pages, small binding holes at the spine, an old repair near the spine of page 1, good condition.
