* Custer Massacre
* Northfield Bank robbery
* Jesse James gang
* Statue of Liberty
Several interesting items in this issue including a page 5 item, although brief: "The Northfield Robbers - Reported Fight With the Escaping Bank Raiders" who were the Younger Brothers.
Also on page 5: "THE INDIAN WAR", "Crook Striking In For the Black Hills" "Sheridan's Arrangements Upset" "Sitting Bull's Invitation to the Tribes in Wisconsin" "Story of a White Man Who Witnessed the Custer Massacre" with the text taking over a full column. One of the subheads is: "The Custer Massacre--What an Eye-Witness of the Slaughter Tells--Thrilling If True".
And page 3 has: "The Statue Of Liberty" noting the visit by Bartholdi and others to Bedloe's Island, where it will be placed, and noting: "...it only remains for our people to take hold of the idea with proper enthusiasm & do their share in subscribing the necessary funds for the pedestal..." which proved to be a difficult task.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
