Page 3 has report noting: "On Wednesday General Henry Knox resigned the office of Secretary of the United States for the Department of War, after having filled that station under the old Congress & the present government, for a period of nearly ten years."
Then also on pg. 2 is: "Resignation of Gen. Knox" which is the formal letter from him resigning his position, signed: H. Knox. It is followed by the kind & thankful response signed by: Go. Washington.
