October 01, 1774

THE LONDON MAGAZINE, England, October, 1774

* Quebec Act - Intolerable Acts
* Pre Revolutionary War tensions

Within the issue is a letter: 'Observations on the Quebec Act" which was one of the hated Coercive Acts.
Over a full page is headed: "On The American Measures" which includes: "...Had the taxing of America, when first proposed, & the measures since taken to levy those taxes by a fleet and army, been duly considered in all these lights, I think that project & those measures could never have existed..." with much more.
Near the back is nearly a page of news reports headed: "American Affairs".
An interesting feature is the full title/contents page which has a very intricately engraved view of the skyline of London at the time, making this very decorative.
The foldout sheet music is present, the other 2 plates are lacking.
Complete in 52 pages, 5 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
