The front page of section 2 (sports) has a nice banner headline: "CUBS WIN PENNANT! THIRD TIME FOR GRIMM" with subheads, 2 related photos and box scores. Nice for display. First report coverage on the 1945 Chicago Cubs winning the National League pennant. They would face the Detroit Tigers in the World Series in which they lost. This would be the last World Series the Cubs participated in until 2016. Great to have in this famous Chicago publication.
Forty pages, light toning at the margins, small library stamp within the masthead, small binding holes along the spine, generally very nice.
