The front page has a small article noting in part: "The Sea Serpent has been seen again upon our boast...confident he say one hundred feet of the monster...we tender our thanks to his Serpentship for making his appearance once more...may we be there to see!" and more.
Also on the ftpg. are two article on: "The Assault Upon the President" with much detail. This was the first attempt to do bodily harm to any President. Andrew Jackson had ordered the dismissal of Robert Randolph from the Navy for embezzlement. Randolph appeared at Alexandria, Virginia, and assaulted Jackson, then fled the scene.
Page 3 has an article concerning the Black Hawk Indian War.
