The front page has a great banner headline: "CUBS WIN; NOW FOR YANKEES!" with subheads. Nice for display. The front page of section 2 (sports) also has a nice banner headline: "CUBS REPEAT 1935 DRIVE IN CLIMB TO FLAG" with subheads and large photo showing the team celebrating in the clubhouse. Also nice for display. First report coverage on the 1938 Chicago Cubs winning the National League pennant. They would face the New York Yankees in the World Series in which they lost.
Complete 1st & 2nd (sports) section only with a total of 42 pages, this is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. In great condition as such, a few small binding holes at the spine.
