As noted in the masthead this was the: "Gazette of The Regular & Volunteer Forces" and as such is replete with military news of all sorts.
Among the war-related items in this issue are those headed: "The Military Situation" "Military Training" "The Competency of Our Officers" "The Naval Academy" "American Guns" "Sickness & Mortality of the Army" "What the Nation Has Done for the War" "A Pious Pirate" & so much more.
Perhaps the best item is the nearly full page, detailed account of: "General Lee's Official Report" of his recent military actions in Maryland & Pennsylvania, including Gettysburg, signed in type: R. E. Lee, General (see for portions). There is also a lengthy editorial report on: "General Lee's Official Report".
Sixteen pages, 10 by 14 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
