August 30, 1933

NEW YORK TIMES, Aug. 30, 1933

* Early Jewish concentration camp report
* Rise of Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich

The bottom of the front page has a significant report headed: "Nazis Imprison Jews in Concentration Camp After French Paper Charges Abuses There", noting in part: "...The reason given is that the Jews had 'behaved in a provocative manner against the state & its institutions..." with more.
A very early report of Jewish concentration camps, well before the outbreak of WWII.
Complete in 40 pages, very nice condition.

This issue is a piece of history.  Issues with content relating to the numerous atrocities perpetrated upon humanity during this era help to verify what some feebly attempt to deny.
It's interesting to note that many such reports never made it to the front page and--in the case of numerous newspapers--never made it to print at all.
We offer such items mindful of Sir Winston Churchill's famous quote (originally stated by George Santayana):  "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it".
