* Secretariat wins Sanford Stakes
* Very 1st major win - 2 year old
* Pre Triple Crown horse races
The sport's section (page 45) has a two column headline: "Secretariat Wins at Spa; Linda's Chief Is Second". This reports Secretariat winning its very first major race, the Sanford Stakes in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Great to have in this famous title. I would suspect this report is difficult to find as it was before Secretariat would become a household name.
Complete in a 64 pages, never bound, minor foxing, generally nice condition.
