The sport's section (page 18) has a five column headline: "Giants Rout Dodgers in Polo Grounds Inaugural" with subheads that include: "...Robinson Also Connects" and more. (see) Also a related photo which shows Robinson among other players and new manager. (see) Text includes: "...The young Negro star cracked a homer in the third..." and box scores. This was in fact Robinson's very 1st home run in a regular season baseball game with the Dodgers. He broke the color barrier just a few days earlier. Great to have in this famous NYC title. Rare as such.
