NEW YORK ILLUSTRATED NEWS, Sept. 30, 1861 Formatted very much like the more common Harper's Weekly but a much more scarce title.
The ftpg. shows: "Federal Vessels Driving Back the Iron-plated Rebel Steamer Yorktown...". Prints inside include a full pg: "Munson's Hill..." "General Wool's Hqts. in Fortress Monroe"; a doublpg. centerfold: "Sketches Around Newport News". Also: "Interior of Fort Hatteras" "Wash Day" and a fullpg; "Union Gun, Fog Bell & Lighthouse at Fortress Monroe".
Sixteen pages, very nice condition.
