THE NEW YORK TIMES, July 7, 1919

* R-34 airship flight to America
* 1st ever crossing of the Atlantic East to West
* Aviation - flight - dirigible - zeppelin
* 1st aerial stowaway - William Ballantyne

The front page has a very nice banner headline: "R-34 CROSSES OCEAN, LANDS SAFELY HERE; FUEL ALL BUT EXHAUSTED IN 108-HOUR TRIP; BATTLED WITH FOG AND STORMS FOUR DAYS" with many subheads and nice photo of the airship landing at Roosevelt Field. Also a photo of William Ballantyne, the first ever aeronautical stowaway who hid in the rigging. Much more in the following pages with more photos. Loads of text, too much to photograph all. Great for display. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete with all 28 pages, light toning at the margins, irregular along the spine, generally nice.
