* Jesse Owens 100-meter & broad jump
* Olympic games in Berlin Germany tryouts
* To be in front of Adolph Hitler & Third Reich


Page 2 of the sport's section (inside) has a six column photo with heading : "Owens Beating America's Best Sprinters in 100 Meters at Randall's Island" with results. (see) The Olympics would begin just a few weeks later.
A sidebar to the Olympic games was Adolph Hitler's refusal to acknowledge the achievements of the African-American athletes, not surprising given his belief that only his superior German Aryan race would dominate at the games.
Complete with 60+ pages, rag edition in nice condition.
