THE WEEKLY PACQUET OF ADVICE FROM ROME: OR, THE HISTORY OF POPERY, London, October 3, 1679
* Newspaper from the 17th century
* Rare variant title
An unusual anti-Catholic newspaper which has a short life before being suppressed. Attached at the back is a single sheet headed: "The Protestant Courant" which is quite unusual as virtually all others we've encountered were titled "Popish Courant". I believe this is the first of this variant title we have seen.
Complete in 8 pages, 5 1/4 by 7 1/4 inches, nice condition.
