AMERICAN UNIVERSAL MAGAZINE, Philadelphia, Jan. 23, 1797  A rather scarce bi-weekly magazine which was primarily eclectic in its content, lasting from Jan. 2, 1797 to March 7, 1798. This is the volume 1, number 4 issue.
The issue begins with: "Description of the Admiralty Telegraph" (lacking the plate). Other articles include: "M. De Voltaire's Account & Opinion of Pennsylvania & the Society of Friends" and more. At the back are two pages of the continuing: "Proceedings of Congress"
Complete in 36 pages, full title page, 4 1/2 by 7 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
