THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Sept. 26, 1775 Most of the front page is taken up with an interesting article: "General Instructions for Succeeding in the Art of Acting". Page 2 has several reports taken from the "South Carolina Gazette" including a warning from the governor of S. Carolina: "...bound to warn you of the danger you are in...if there are any grievances that you apprehend the people of this Province now labour under, the measures at present adopted are by no means calculated to remove them; but, on the contrary, cannot fail of drawing down inevitable ruin on this flourishing colony...".
Another page has lengthy discussion from a county meeting in England which includes considerable discussion on the American troubles with: "...the dispute with America had originated from the principles of taxation; that those principles were grossly mistaken even by the Americans themselves; for, having pleaded their charters as instruments exempting them from taxation, unless by their own assemblies..." with more (see).
The back page has some American content as well with: "...letter from Philadelphia...says, 'General Gage & his brother generals seem to have given up all hope of breaking through their besiegers...General Schuyler is drawing together 5000 men at Ticonderoga & preparing to invade Canada..." with more.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, lite rubbing on the front page which does cause loss of word in the mentioned article, otherwise in very good condition.
