NEW YORK TIMES, July 27, 1947 The front page has a two column headline: "MOTHER DIES AS PRESIDENT FLIES TO HER" with subheads and photo. (see) More inside. The ftpg. also has: "Lincoln's Papers Hailed By Scholars as Big 'Find' " which reports on a huge hoard of Lincoln letters & document dating back to 1833. This extensive report carries over to take much of pages 32 and 33 with 3 photos including one of the: "First Draft Of the Emancipation Proclamation".
The first section only with pages 1-48. This is the "rag edition" printed on high-quality paper meant for institutional holdings only. Excellent condition.
