GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, May, 1760  The lead article in this issue is: "Some Account of a Pamphlet entitled, The Interest of Great Britain considered, with regard to her Colonies, and the Acquisitions of Canada and Guadaloupe" which takes over 3 pages.
Among other articles are: "Confirm'd Melancholy Cured", the conclusion of: "Life of George Frederic Handel" which takes 5 pages; "Regulations of the Fifth Markets in Holland" and more.
Near the back is the "Historical Chronicle" containing various news reports of the day, including some news under the heading: "America" (see) which includes: "...A most dreadful fire happened March 20 at Boston in New England, supposed the greatest ever known in the American colonies...".

Complete in 48 pages, 5 by 8 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John's Gate, great condition.

A very nice magazine from the French & Indian War. This was the first periodical to use the word "magazine" in its title, having begun in 1731 and lasting until 1907.
