Page 2 contains a brief report headed: "Extract of a Letter from a Midshipman on board of his Majesty's Frigate, the Emerald, of 34 Guns, dated New York, Sept. 30" which reports that an American privateer appeared off the harbor with a few details of a naval battle (see). On this report also is a red-inked tax stamp. Another page has two soldier desertion ads, with particulars (see). Another article has: "Anecdotes of Mr. Handel" with reference to his famous work the Messiah (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
