There is a very nice & detailed full page map titled: "A Plan of Cartagena" (the northern Coast of present-day Colombia) with over a full page of related text (see). Near the back is a section headed: "Historical Chronicle" which includes over half a column of reports from the colonies, datelined: "Newport in New England" and "Charles Town [Charleston] in Carolina". Also present is a "Proclamation" by the King which concerns America.
Among the additional articles noted in the table of contents are: "The Conduct of War Unexeptionable" "A New Method to Prevent Swearing" "Concerning the Origin of Temples" "The Present War should have begun Sooner" and more.
Complete in 56 pgs., 5 by 8 1/2 inches, full title/index page featuring an engraving of St. John's Gate, a bit irregular at the spine otherwise in good condition.
A very nice pre-Revolutionary War magazine from the "mother country" with a wide range of varied content. This was the first periodical to use the word "magazine" in its title, having begun in 1731 and lasting until 1907.
