THE EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, Aug. 18, 1746

* Jacobite Rebellion conspirators

The ftpg. has a report from Westminster which includes: "An Act for the more effectual disarming the Highlands in Scotland & for more effectual securing the peace of the said Highlands, & for restraining the use of the Highland dress..." and a bit more concerning the Jacobite Rebellion. Also on the ftpg. is a brief yet very notable report: "Yesterday the warrant was signed in council for the execution of the Lords Kilmarnock and Balmerino, on the Tower-Hill on Monday next. But no mention is made of the Earl of Cromarty." who would be given a pardon in 1848.
Page 3 has a nice letter concerning the Jacobite Rebellion, mentioning: "...during the late wicked and unnatural Rebellion should have given great offence to his Royal Highness the Duke..." and more (see).
Four pages, 8 by 10 inches, a few older mends to the bottom of pg. 2, otherwise rather good.
