Page 3 has report from Congress headed: "Votes for President & Vice President - Official" which has a list of votes by state "For James Monroe, President" and "D. D. Tompkins, Vice President", with votes for Rufus King as well, showing 183 for Monroe and 34 for King. Also: "The President of the Senate then declared JAMES MONROE, of Virginia, to be duly elected President of the United States; and DANIEL D. TOMPKINS, of Ne York, Vice President of the United States, for the term of four years..." and a bit more (see).
Page 2 has an editorial beginning: "It is now announced that the next president is to be James Monroe...".
