Sutter...Sutter is a well known resident of California...In 1837 a restless spirit of adventure led him to California, the northern frontier of which was then an almost impassable wilderness...he built houses and workshops..." and much more (see).
The front page has: "The Chess Contest" "Morphy in Paris--Opening of the Match between him and Anderssen"
