Near the bottom of page 2 is a report: "...likewise advice that a ship from Leverpool to Ireland, and loaded there with provisions for Antegoa, was met by a Pyrate off St. Mary's, who took from her half her beef, and all her butter; and that the said Pyrate Ship was commanded by one Roberts, who told them he was going for the coast of Africa." This would seem to be the infamous pirate Bartholomew Roberts, the most successful pirate of the Golden Age of Piracy as measured by vessels captured, taking over 470 prizes in his career (see hyperlink). He would later be known as "Black Bart".
